Air Travel: ISC 2010 Airfare Special with American Airlines
American Airlines is the official carrier for the International Shelby Conference
2010. Arrangements are in place for conference attendees to receive a 5 percent
discount on American Airlines, American Eagle, and AmericanConnections.
The Coach Class discount applies to most applicable fares that are available for
your date and time of travel. Please note that ‘Q’ and ‘O’ inventories are not eligible
for a discount.
Look online for fare and schedule
information and to make your reservations. When entering your flight information,
type A1360AA in the promotion code field. This discount code is valid June 11 -
20, 2010 for travel in and out of Atlanta Hartsfield Airport.
If you need to reserve by phone, please call American Airlines Meeting Services
at 800-433-1790 and provide the Discount Code. Hours of phone operation are 5:00
a.m. – 12:00 midnight Central Time daily.
Airlines
The major airport for the city of Atlanta is
Atlanta Hartsfield Airport
(ATL) which is approximately 12 miles from the conference hotel.
Make travel arrangements with your local travel agent or via the Internet at any
of the standard airline Web sites.
Most major airlines including
AirTran, American Airlines,
Continental,
Delta,
Frontier,
Northwest,
United, and
US Airways fly into ATL.
Many Internet-based companies offer discount airfares, including
Orbitz,
Priceline and
Travelocity.
Ground Transportation: Airport
to Hotel
Taxis, shuttles, and public transportation are available from Atlanta Hartsfield Airport to Omni Hotel
at CNN Center. Taxis can be found outside of the main airport entrance. To make a shuttle reservation, contact Atlanta Link shuttle service.
Atlanta also has a large public transportation system called MARTA. To reach the conference hotel via MARTA, take the Northbound train to the Five Points Marta Station. Transfer to the Westbound train. Exit at the Dome/GWCC/Phillips Arena/CNN Center stop (W-1). The CNN Center is attached to the hotel. It is a brief walk to get to the South Tower Lobby.

Parking
The hotel provides valet park at a special conference rate of $25/day. Independent
parking lots are also available in areas around the hotel property. Please check
with the attendant at city lots regarding overnight security.
