Are there special conference hotel rates?
Yes, the discount rates offered to attendees of ISC 2010 at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center are $172.00/night, plus tax (single/double occupancy), and reservations are honored at this rate until May 17, 2010. We advise you to reserve your room(s) early for the best rates and availability.

Shelby Systems, Inc. will reimburse $25/room for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at time of checkout to offset hotel expense as long as you stay at the Omni Hotel at CNN Center. Shelby Systems, Inc. provides this incentive to make it more affordable for you to stay within the room block Shelby Systems negotiated for ISC 2010.
What major airport is located in Atlanta?
The major airport for the city of Atlanta is Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL), which is approximately 12 miles from the conference hotel downtown. Most major airlines fly in to Atlanta Hartsfield Airport; however, Southwest Airlines does not.

What does the registration fee cover?
The conference registration fee for the dates June 16 – 18, 2010, provides these benefits:

  • One-on-One time scheduled with Shelby Systems support technicians, programmers, and trainers
  • Networking with up to 700 other Shelby Systems and Arena customers from across the country and internationally

Is there any hands-on learning available at ISC 2010?
International Shelby Conference provides two ways to receive hands-on learning: Pre-ISC classes held on Tuesday, June 15, and hands-on classes held during the conference Wednesday through Friday.

Pre-ISC classes are optional learning sessions held on Tuesday, June 15, and they cover specific topics on Shelby Systems software in a hands-on lab with in-depth instruction. There are 6 or 8 morning and afternoon sessions, each being 3.5 hours in length. Laptops are provided for these classes.

One Pre-ISC am or pm session is $150, and both sessions are $275, per registrant. Check-in for these classes is on Tuesday starting at 7:00 am, and the sessions run from 8:00 am – 11:30 am and 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm. Class sizes are limited, so early registration is advised. Attendees are on their own for lunch.

Hands-on classes are scheduled during ISC on Wednesday through Friday, and they are an hour and fifteen minutes in length and cover a myriad of Shelby Systems software applications. An additional fee of $45 per class is required.
Are there lecture-style classes at ISC?
Yes, there are Lecture-style classes at ISC. Experts in certain topics and fields lead these classes with power point presentations, handouts, and discussion. Laptops are not required. Lecture-style classes are provided as part of your ISC registration fee.
What are one-on-one sessions?
One-on-One sessions are scheduled times to sit down with a Shelby Systems trainer, programmer, or support technician to discuss any questions or issues pertaining to your job responsibilities. You can bring pertinent information with you to discuss during these 30-minute sessions. There is no charge for these meetings, and you can register for time slots prior to ISC or during the conference as long as they are available.

How do I pay for ISC registration?
On completion of your online registration, you are asked for payment information. All major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted. You also have the option of paying Direct Withdrawal from checking and savings and by check.
Do I register for classes before I attend ISC?
Yes, Shelby Systems urges you to register for all your classes as soon as possible after your conference registration is confirmed. You will receive an email confirmation with information about logging in to sign up for your Lecture classes and Hands-on classes. You do not have to stay with the schedule you record online with ISC, and you can go back in and change Lecture class selections anytime. In this way the ISC staff has an idea of the class sizes needed for room assignments and the number of handouts to copy for each session.
What is the ISC 2010 cancellation policy?
All International Shelby Conference registrations include a non-refundable deposit. This deposit is waived if Shelby Systems receives a written cancellation on or before March 31, 2010. Registrants who cancel starting April 1, 2010, will receive a refund less 25 percent of the total fee. No refund is provided after May 7, 2010. If I register and am unable to attend, can another staff member from my church attend in my place?
Yes, you can substitute another staff member from your organization at no additional charge. Shelby Systems requires you to send written notification of any registration changes to isc@shelbyinc.com. We encourage substitutions if at all possible.
Are there a variety of restaurants near the hotel that are easily accessible?

What should I expect from the weather in Atlanta during June 2010?
The temperatures in Atlanta in June average 87 degrees during the day with an average low of 67 degrees at night. We recommend you check the weather online before departing for ISC.
What should I wear for the conference?
Business casual is the daily attire with a sweater or light jacket in case the session rooms are too cool.

Check-in for optional Pre-ISC classes on Tuesday morning, June 15, is 7:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Check-in for main conference sessions is 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, June 15, and from 6:30 am – 8:15 am on Wednesday morning, June 16. We kick off our conference at the Welcome Session on Wednesday morning at 8:45 am with a keynote speaker.
